Al Rafisah Dam located on the Sharjah Khorfakkan Highway is a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. A beautiful lake located near the hajar mountains with a wide variety of plants, a man-made waters fall and some lovely ducks nearby the lake.
We left around 4:30 pm which is a perfect time to leave during Summers. It is a one hour drive from Sharjah. We reached by 5:30 pm and had almost 2 hrs to spend there. The drive through the mountains is itself a beautiful experience. The weather was fine , it wasn't that hot. We spent some time there enjoying the nature. The kids had a hearty time spending some time with the ducks and fishes in the lake. I highly recommend you to visit this place if you are a nature lover. There is a rest area, outdoor play area, a supermarket and a restaurant with lakeview.
